Dr. Jim Herrington grew up in Palestine, Texas, and graduated from Palestine High School in 1979. From there he went on to College Station and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Texas A&M University. In 1986, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Herrington is passionate about staying up to date on the latest research and cutting edge technology in dentistry in order to provide the best quality of care available. While attending dental school, he was honored to be chosen to participate in a preceptorship in cosmetic dentistry. Through this advanced training, he has developed a keen eye for aesthetics and smile design. Without a doubt, he will tell you that his favorite part of dentistry is forming lasting relationships with his patients.

Dr. Herrington has a long history of being involved in organized Dentistry. He is an active member of Baylor College of Dentistry Alumni, the American Dental Association, the East Texas Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.

Dr. Herrington married Dr. Carol Herrington in 1988. They have been blessed with a wonderful son, Brent, who is an endodontist at Tyler Endodontics.
